Pollution and Covid

If we hit PM levels of 700 we will have a major problem because as a Doctor I can tell you that the heavy air can hold covid droplets in air for much more longer before they settle. The administrators of Delhi NCR Punjab and Haryana and even UP need to be working on this in mission mode.

If you will not talk and share this info I am sorry we will have a difficult November. Imagine all those seniors with COPD and lung ailments and get active. more

The crop burning season is fast approaching. The state administrator of Delhi NCR Punjab and Haryana and UP has to issue advisory and if necessary to take action to keep the PM level (particulate matter (PM2.5) is an air pollutant) within control. more
Why people expect the government to advise. everyone has responsibility. Instead of asking farmer not asking them not to burn let funds be raised to import machines which can harvest wheat straw and make big rolls and store it. Later these rolls can be sued for the manufacture of paper ( Akash Paper mill in Barnala). Other products can be made by asking IKEA to help. more
As a doctor you seem to think that heavier particles take more time to settle down in air! As a doctor you have a responsibility to study about things before you utter anything and to make sure that you don't utter blunders because people have this dangerous habit of taking doctors seriously. -- Sent with mail.com Mail. PK Keshup: Bravo, Bravo! You are a breath of fresh air - a rare person who takes the initiative while others spend most of their time and energy blaming others. If India is ever going to lift itself from the yoke of poverty and poor environment, it will have to rely on citizens’ initiative. Can’t look to the government to solve all problems. No government can or will. Ask what can I do for myself and others. more
We got freedom 73 years ago in 1947. And still we are blaming politicians, bureaucrats or some else. Why not take micro responsibility for improving our own environment. In front of my house, there is a park. MC has not made payment of PMC for 12 months but the plants and trees are giving fresh air to about 300 residents living around the park. We pay to gardner. Hell with MC. Is not it better to pay gardner from own pocket than pay for diseases? If our Constitution gives Rights, certain duties are also enshrined. Let's mobilise the.masses around about the bad effects of pollution and how we can tame it practically. more
