Pollution Control....

Curbing the Pollution in our Bharat....

In this context, dear all, I have to say that there is air pollution in environs, water pollution in the rivers, canals, rivulets, noise pollution due to crackers in Deepawali, pressure horns of the heavy vehicles, unnecessary honking of lighter vehicles, loudspeakers in the Mosques etc.
The Supreme Court has, to start with, rightly banned the sale of crackers in and around Delhi, NCR etc. upto 1st November, 2017.
Majority of people, it is seen on the social media, are opposing this move in the name of religion & religious practice of crackers bursting which is traditionally followed across our country.
People have come out with different arguments comparing with sacrificing the goats on Bakrid by Muslims.
It is very sad that we do not realize the deteriorating air quality of New Delhi which has made it one of the Most Polluted cities across the World.
What we think are passing on to the younger generations which have the responsibility of India's future on their shoulders????
Yes I agree that curbing the Sale of Crackers alone does not solve the problem....but a step, in the right direction, once has been taken by honorable Supreme Court must not be objected to by the masses.
Some people have come forward with the argument that by banning the sale of crackers the livelihood of so many poor labourers employed by the cracker manufacturers is in danger....but the same people prefer to buy electrical lights instead of DEEPAKS manufactured by poor KUMHARS of India....
Gradually we should change to battery operated cars but within city limits only....for outside destinations CNG operated cars shall still be required....
This proposal is because this is in the city limits that air quality very badly affects masses.... more

yes. so many reasons are there for air pollution. with the decision not that the pollution level is not becoming zero. but a step towards some positives. In future we expect more such decisions, one we welcome. The pollution boards are corrupt and have lot of pressure. they should be put a check. hope some better moves will come in future. more
What about noise pollutions ? Why Mosque are allowed to use loudspeakers to create high noise levels ? more
Jagrans on loudspeakers also cause noise pollution more
Supreme Court decision is most welcome. It's in best interest and people must appreciate and support the cause.I can see lot of pessimism in social media with the decision.Just need to remind people the pollution will affect all irrespective of you participate or not.I agree that it might not be enough but it has to start somewhere. And government also must pressurize industries to treat the sewage . more
Yes, I agree that curbing the Sale of Crackers alone does not solve the problem. The Industries are the main culprit and spoiling the air and water. Government is simply a silent spectator. more
Very good points Sir. I second your thought more
