Pollution

Minister is himself a Doctor & applying his own knowledge on the subject. For long time he is practicing politics & moreover not environmentalist & pollution expert. Conditions are not ordinary but extremely alarming. Therefore, practicing experts need to deal with presently and ministry ready to deal with seriously with adequate funds.
Firstly it was made out to be local for capital but later it has come out that it is spread over through out the country in all major cities. With this speed it is likely to be in rural India also.
Minister needs to devote more time & energy on the matter and also to keep strategy in mind the slogan " Made In India' which is likely to create more pollution and higher level of measures to tackle. Minister may depute more officers on full time basis and also consult health & other ministries and also expert body NGO)CES headed by Ms Sunita Narain in Delhi itself easily approachable. more

I do not understand what the government officers heading various departments did all these years. Polititicians work is legislation and it is the duty of all dept heads from secretaries and down the line senior cadres to plan, execute, by extracting work from all cadres of government staff. more
Pollution is killing people who exposed to it on road - If not it can kill all of us more than any epidemic more
Politicians have no time for constructive work as they are busy politicking most of the time more
Pollution is not a medical subject entirely. Only if it affects health and hygiene. Every citizen should be aware of the type of pollution he/she is creating. Be it due to plastics, due to rotting garbage on roadside, due to harmful traffic and industrial fumes, noise and atmospheric pollution due to use of fire crackers, noise pollution due to excessive use of traffic horns and loud speakers, glare at night due to excessive lighting, poisoning of soil and water by our electronic waste, radiation pollution due to use of electronic gadgets so on and so forth. We in Bharat have become extremely polluted in our morals too. We live off others not live for and with them. So the first and foremost requirement is to get rid our own polluted attitudes. All the affluent and progressive races like the Japanese, the Germans and even the British etc have grown in their statures due to principled living. We were so in our Vaidic era but we let our years of slavery forget all. SAD! more
absolutely correct and helpful. more
