Protecting Honest Bureaucrats - Citizen Inputs
Protecting honest bureaucrats who take timely decisions is critical for India's progress. In a recent case, Harish Chandra Gupta, a retired bureaucrat widely regarded as honest among the IAS fraternity has been charged by the court in the coal scam. Per the fraternity, unable to afford lawyer fees, Gupta has offered to go to jail and fight the case from there.

Sad, First of all, find out who made that. If you can find out who put him in this situation, that is no reason to do much things. You will have list of people who are corrupt. About honest people, everyone know that they are non corrupt. So government must praise them so that other who went on wrong path can come back. more

There shall be the system of finalizing the Reports / Performance discharge by a Committee of Secretaries under the Chief Secretary and the Governor to be the Authority to conclude Action . This will eliminate and eradicate all ills and Evils in the public administration as well as Political management . more

# Firsr & Foremost- The Officer should carryout his duties without Fear or FAVOUR . # The IAS officer shall listen to the political boss, only on policy matters and should play according to the rule book. # On technical / financial matters the officer shall take the advise of the experts of the respective field and shall keep the decision making powers self. # Any political (Minister's) recommendations shall be insisted on paper. # The officer should record his/her opinion (dissent) if any in Black&White. # All higher level postings shall have a fixed tenure of 2 years, unless otherwise found mis-carriage of service procedures; # A Senior level IAS officer's posting shall be reviewed for any lapses only with the concurrence of DoPT under PMO. more
