Railways please play cricket !!!!
COVIT19 forced a countrywide lockdown upto 14/03/2020. In order to make it successful railways cancelled all long distance trains upto the same date.Meanwhile our beloved railways very cunningly withdrew the senior citizen concession on the pretext " to avoid unwanted travel". I fail to understand who can set out on an unwanted journey when the trains are totally cancelled!!!!!!
Now the real story. It appears that railways under the cover of COVIT19 has cooly and silently withdrawn the concession for good.The option is not available even if someone wants to book a ticket beyond the lockout period.

Mr. SATINATH BHATTACHARYYA, with due respect to you, I tell you that I have not passed comment only for the sake of passing the same but if we serve any department, we are paid by the Govt adequately. A Govt has to see the interest of all sections of the society including Pvt. Persons who are in majority. After retirement, we are not giving any srevice to the Govt/country and as such we are not entitled for any type of privileges whatsoever. Moreover, you can not justify your claim giving the examples of giving pensions to the MP/MLA etc. You may like to see the views of Sri DK Sarkar as well. Regards. more

Now, the Sr.Ctzns. who are stuck up elsewhere due to cancellation of all trains and trying to book return tickets, they are forced to book tickets with full fare without any cause. Raiways making 12000 crores from cancellation of tickets only without providing any service by their crooked booking and cancellation policy, now they are trying to stop their concessions also, without thinking of loosing business for much more valuable passengers. Railways must stop all free passes to their employees and Government travels before stopping concessions for Sr citizens. more

Senior Citizens should not criticize the action of the Govt. as after their retirement, they have no right to claim such priviliges. more

MrAgarwal I hope u know that a person in most cases become sr.citizen only after retirement not before. Pl.do not pass comment only for the sake of passing. Moreover the post never questioned the withdrawal of concession but the manner in which it has been implemented. more

All kind of railway passes, whether full or partial, and whether to serving or retired employees need be immediately withdrawn. Other Govt. of India Employees, whether in service or retired, are not such priviledged. more
