Railways Senior Citizens

Members of parliament or assembly mostly representing the very and super rich community in the country are having all concessions including highly subsidized can teen and free air travel. And they get life long pension. All members of railway employees avail all the concessions. The Senior citizens require some basic comfortable journey in AC and or Shatabdi or any other super fast train. A small concession to senior citizens is only a courtesy by government to the seniors who contributed to the country silently more than any MP or MLA. Let there be national movement and who ever promises better support to senior citizens which are genuine, let us vote. Let no senior citizen vote for BJP. Then they will learn. more

We should forward it to Modi, who is shouting that his govt.has done a lot in railways and cleaningness. more
Senior Citizens in India does need better support. Travel concessions to them should be better, but at the same time not gender based. more
No concession to anybody unless he is having the annual income less than Rs. 3.00 lakhs. The high salaried - pensioners no need any Subsidy in tariff anywhere. Also all MLA / MPS should treat as a Normal Passengers , Not VIP & they shouldn't get any exemption after retirement from their positions. It is loss or waste of govt means public money. As such MP MLA what they are doing in Assembly & parliament it is Subject of high standard research. Can be included in PHd programme of Universities. more
in fact there should be some priorities to all the income tax payers including subsidies to the senior citizens. MLAs,MPs have come to service the people by their own choice hence they should not be paid anything,no VIP treatment,no securities,no free house/electricty/vehicles/telehone/mobiles etc be provided to them at the cost of tax payers.we have created new RAJAs and they treat us like their PRAJA.no airconditioners be provided to any govt. office/MPs/MLAs where admission to general public is restricted, till all general compartments of trains are equipped with A/Cs.what railways do for commonman?? more
In fact it's more pinchlng when we see that politicians who are generally engaged in inappropriate activities are being provided with more and more facilities by the Govt. more
I have no comment on this issue. I am also a Sr Citizen. I appreciate your valuable inputs. Please also note that AIR INDIA made huge losses in the past where as other carrier made some profit. AIR INDIA has been abused by our MP s / MLA s / Bureaucrat. Most of the mentioned categories of persons thinks or made to think that they are not part of disciplined democracy but a regional - arrogant autocrat. more
