Reschedule option for reservations

One important issue I want to bring notice to the concerned official. Whenever the reservation booked passengers postpone their journey, they have to cancel the reservation ticket and again have to go to rebooking. Instead of this process, it would be more convenient to the passengers if there's any option to change their journey schedule for another day reservation if it is available.
Please think about this as this would avoid unnecessary waste of time and money etc. and provide a comfortable booking for passenger more

I would like if railways reschedule advance booking of tickets to 2 months and cancellation charges to be revised as earlier. more
at present the change of date can be done manually only, if this is allowed through IRCTC online it is good. Exorbitant cancellation charges is major concern hope railways should review the problem. For reservation in sleeper class total cost in shorter distance is fully lost when it is cancelled. say total reservation charge Rs.140/- and cancellation charge is Rs.120/- . So it is very difficult for planning and booking in advance. Therefore, many people will not cancel their tickets which may help TTE s for making extra money or promote bribery. Cancellation charge should not be more than 50% of the ticket charge. more
Gentlemen: the Tickets can be postponed or re-scheduled as per the rules only ONCE. See the extract on this site : http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/railwayboard/uploads/directorate/coaching/TAG/Change_TravelPlan.pdf more

Rescheduling the ticket to another date (if reservation is available) is a good alternative. more
