Ridiculous decision to ban bursting of crackers during festival of Diwali.

I disagree with the total ban on crackers. Limitations could have been imposed by prescribing time window for bursting crackers. The decision to ban crackers till end November is totally unfair and ridiculous. Why such measures are instituted only when Diwali is around? It is well known to everyone that during winter air pollution becomes a serious issue but still no mitigating action is taken either by the Government ,statutory bodies and so called well meaning activists. more

The irony is that the same agencies which become overactive for banning crackers during Diwali become lenient for Christmas and New Year. I think there is some prejudice somewhere for certain festivals and really no real concern for environment or pollution more
Now we can talk about Christmas and New year. more
Successively banning fire crackers has not solved the problem of the pollution in the last so many years. This clearly shows that this is not the root cause. The root cause is something else, if the doctor give you one medicine and it does not cure the disease, the doctor will stop that medicine and give another, but the people deciding on the ban may not have checked that angle more
It's simple to enforce LAW on public. 70% contributor for pollution is road side dust which is sole responsibility of civic agencies. they are not going job because they don't know how to do the job, inefficient peoples or they don't want to do their job. more
For banning crackers some agencies are crossing their domain. They are not doing justice to their own areas of responsibility but for banning crackers they become over active more
