Rising prices of veggies and failed mainstream media

The prices of vegetables in our country are running in a rocket speed

Lemon: Rs 200 per kg
Green chillies: Rs 150 per kg
Ginger: Rs 400 per kg
Coriander: Rs 200 per kg
Tomatoes: Rs 160 per kg
Garlic: Rs 130 per kg
Parwal: Rs 80 per kg
Arbi: Rs 80 per kg
Okra: Rs 70 per kg

And news media is busy suppressing this news. I am just so done with newspapers and television channels.

Guys if LocalCircles wont raise this issue i have a feeling no one will. Do something more

India Needs a Market chain with veg/ farm produce Banks and distribution net work for small vendors village to Cities. more
Nothing unusual during the months of July/August when the yield of vegetables comes down to almost 10 to 20% of the demand, the prices are supposed to go up! More over vegetables are grown in rural centres with lack of road and transport facilities, particularly during rainy season, adversely affecting supply. Hence, we have no option but to become accommodative with the situation. There are other now a days to manage without green vegetables for a couple of months or so by which the prices are expected to come down and also to improve the supply thereof. more
You are paying for the convenience. Why in the world this topic keeps coming up? Why is Ms Ruchika does not understand that this not something government should get into. The reason anything is high or low price is due to many factors and supply and demand. Transportation of goods, the price of petrol and man hour it takes to get from point A to point B, and everything in between. more
Ruchika ji . I buy from Veg mandi in Gurgaon which is every sector of Gurgaon . Delhi has mother dairy . pl check prices . Farmers are given free hand as laws to control pricing had to be withdrawn more
Govt. introduced farm laws which had to be withdrawn due to false propaganda by vested interests. Ruchika ji did not raise any voice against propagandist. Middlemen, hoarders and satorias will never be blamed for the price rise. more
