Sanitation in trains

Most coaches run with minimum cleaning. The water tanks are not cleaned at all? What about dirty berths in sleeper class. In IT parks all restrooms carry information on who is in charge , when was the last time it was cleaned, next scheduled cleaning and so on. This system should be available in all sleeper coaches. more

see the eastern side trains going towards Gorakhpur, how dirty they are? lot of peoplle from that area work in south but only one Regular Train that is Raptisagar going toward that area, second is only twice a week, can Railway introduce more train? more
As I see many complaints are about cleanliness of toilets, Top 1 complaint. How about having the toilets a seperate unit that can be attached and detached when needed. with that in every junction, we can have separate toliets cleaned and kept ready which can be pulled in and push out the existing one with a simple lever so we can expect clean toilets every 400 km or so. any way coach factories are privatisied we can pass on this to them. its a very simple solution you just have to have a power flush that will clean the entire commode and seat , unfortunately the flushes that we have even if we hang on it no water comes and in most cases you will get water coming out like when you open a tap this is a sheer waste of precious water with no benefit to anyone and most of the time you end up sitting on someone else's excreta .Also you need to have a bucket and mug in the toilet , you can have it welded onto the frame if you fear theft . more
This forum is looking for problems and solutions and not just complaints. more
for a short time a system was introduced to clean the coaches in the middle of scheduled stations but this is stopped abruptly. We may not be knowing whether it continues in paper as being done in state road maintenance. As is being clearly pointed out the stagnation in toilets is due to poor workmanship as high level officials and politicians are not travelling with us as we are not in par. Most pipelines are leaky and the mug is missing. So a way may be worked out without using mugs. Ticketless travel and entry in reserved coach must be regulated. more
