SC has squashed our ask

asking for 2 eminent citizens to be appointed on NJAC so transparency can be brought in judicial appointments was a fair ask that 80% of us supported. Couldnt find the detailed local circle report but found this link:

http://m.indiatvnews.com/news/india/68-of-indian-appointments-in-judiciary-are-not-transparent-53656.html

Now please suggest what can be done by us/Govt so dictatorships makes way for democracy and if not Law Minister atleast 2 eminent citizens are appointed to judicial appt committee more

There is lack of accountability of judges in India. Judiciary must be ashamed of at the level of inefficiency & in justice they have provided since more than 6 decades. The govt. must relentlessly work to investigate all the black money related to the judges on top priority. more
Take any system(say of governance), it has multiple dimensions (parameters) responsible for its efficient functioning. There are few A category dimensions (may be 15 %) which have highest importance(say 60%), then there are B category dimensions (say 30%) which have little lower importance (say 30 %) and then there are C category dimensions which have least importance (say 15%). This is scientific approach and is called as ABC analysis and is true in every aspect. If we really want to improve the system we should spend 60% of our energy on A category parameters, 30% energy on B category parameters, and only 15% energy on C category. But as a standard practice we spend major part of our energy on few of C category parameters. The problems of judicial system are also multidimensional, but there is no mention of which are other dimensions. and their importance. How judges are appointed is just a parameter of the efficiency of judicial system. There is no reason to believe that if judges of SC and HC are appointed by NJAC all problems will be over. May be we will face different kind of problems. more
NJAC is basically very right and important desirable step in judicial reforms. a country particularly democratic must have sound judicial system to achieve the objective to find truth, punish guilty and protect the innocent citizens. fundamentally it is strange any body to appoint their own people it leads to arbitrary and affect the quality , reliability of delivery of justice. eminent people broad based committee having all around people from different areas can do the job and this may go long way in judicial reform in our ailing system. parliament can form again NJAC with modification which can be enacted again more
Hon. S. C. must take responsibility of bringing down the pending cases, atleast, in SC, to Zero level in a year's time. more
We have witnessed enough the disowning of responsibility on the part of Legislature (Parliament) and Executive wings of the constitution resulting no. Scams which caused considerable damage to the prestige of the country. We have also witnessed the dire situations of harsh treatments to IAS & IPS officers in North India. We have also wit- nessed the deliberate violation of principles of constitution during era of Indira Gandhi We have witnessed on several occasions the intervention of Supreme Court on the lapses of LEGISLATURE & EXECUTIVE wings. All the efforts to control and bring the JUDICIARY under control of Legislature ( Parliament) in any form, is fatal for the Democracy and an invitation to civil war in the country. The SOVEREIGNTY of the JUDICIARY is Utmost necessary. How ever, if the so called colligium, really found fallacious necessary amendments may be made to NJAC in consultation with the the Supreme Court. more
