SC ruling on Aadhaar: Citizens Victory
Earlier this week, a 5 judge constitutional bench of supreme Court upheld the constitutional validity of Aadhaar and said that it should be mandatory to link PAN card with Aadhaar and for filing Income Tax Returns. It also said Aadhaar is mandatory for availing welfare schemes and subsidies.
It also said Aadhaar is not needed for opening a bank account or getting a mobile connection or getting child admitted in a school or for exams.
Many of you who have been in the circle know this reflects the public pulse and LocalCircles has been raising them with both the Government and the Judiciary. Our top concern has been people's Aadhaar information getting compromised by banks, mobile companies, wallets, ecommerce sites and other private companies. So the SC ruling, in essence has been a victory of the citizens where un-necessary surveillance will be prevented while public distribution and tax governance will get strengthened through Aadhaar.

Banks & other private users will be allowed to use Aadhar with proper legislation by the Govt. As of now no proper legislation in place hence SC has made not mandatory for Bank accounts & sim & other digital accounts. Shortly the govt. may introduce the legislation in this regard. Plz get one, if you're not yet enrolled. It will bring safty through proper authentication for our banking transactions & other digital services. Most importantly Transparency in all our transaction. Corrupt politicians & black money holders & corrupt Sr.bureaucrats have to safe guard their illgotten wealth raised unnecessary hue & cry. This judgment seems to be ill conceived and a retrograde step. Given the level of bogus bank accounts, passports, ration card, voter lists etc that had been happening all along, validation by biometric based aadhar number had the potential to eliminate such malpractices to a great extent. Now all Rohingaya Muslims will get citizenship by bogus and unsubstantiated documents. Why should the supreme court judges care if that happens? They will be well-rewarded when Congress or any such corrupt party comes to power. Now nothing will stop benami land transactions by politicians and their cronies. That should make them happy indeed. With the supreme court being so supportive of the criminal class who should care for the law abiding common citizen? more

There is no Constitutional mandate to Save Funds/Finances of Financial Institutions and public. IPC ever diluted and neglected in prompt enforcement.
At National and public interest, law shall be amended that secrecy of Money, immovable and movable properties either by individuals or AOPs, Trusts, Societies, Banks, Financial Institutions , Businessmen and Traders, Professional Houses/institutions IS ANTI-NATIONAL AND PUNISHABLE WITH IMPRISONMENT IF FOUND that it contain Black Money or Concealed Wealth . There shall be an another Financial Bill to this extent. more
