Schools should be trust or business

Grace Augustine Pinto, managing director of Ryan International Group of Institutions, which runs multiple schools across the country under the banner of Ryan International School, bought an apartment in Mumbai for Rs 24.58 crore.

Schools are supposed to be trusts in India but people like Grace violate norms and amass wealth.

Should this be corrected. Should schools be converted into commercial businesses or should they be subject to major external audits? more

Education - Primary and Secondary should be the responsibility of the state. However, this needs attention, investment, good faculty and infrastructure. To get that, political will is needed. Private schools/colleges/universities / coaching classes are mushrooming as the present system is wanting in many ways. They will be lucrative because of the demand-supply factor and because we people do really aim to do anything about it. Radical thinking to improve education and make it affortable and qualitative can only happen if there is a demand from the people at large. more
Educational institutions, Food Industry & Medical Industry are gooses laying golden eggs worldwide. People owing it will dare anything to protect those golden gooses, as corruption prevails almost around the world...... as majority human beings are greedy beyond sky limit and do not realize KARMA follows every soul. more
