Senior citizens concession

It's long awaited demand of sr.ctzns
to continue again their concession as it was before corona wave.
In recent election, we have seen that I.N.D.I. Alliance promise to give 1 lac to each woman and NDA to give free treatment of 5 lacs , But no Alliance talked of rail fare concession to continue. They can manage huge budget to their promise, but not to concessional train fare.Age catagory for sr. stzns should remain same 60 yrs,not 70 or above.
Social media is also silent.
Opposition has no time to raise this question. more

True , it should be continued, What other venifits does the government give to us. I was working in private sector and i dont have any pension also. Living in my income from interests from bank. more
This is our rational demand. Govt should impose this facility to us immediately. more
Very genuine demand. In a welfare state, the parameter that how best and how far are the senior citizens' welfare schemes framed and implemented by the government. The policy of giving concession to the senior citizens was already there. Its' strange that this facility to the senior citizens was withdrawn while several other free bees like free food, free electricity etc etc. were started as populist measures to get votes in the elections. We can simply hope that the new Modi 3.0 government realizes the wrong done earlier to the senior citizens needs to be corrected and re- introduced ( Restored ). Hon'ble prime minister has already promised to bring all senior citizens above 70 years under Ayusman Bharat coverage. We can hope the new railway minister will consider the restoration of the senior citizens concession in the railways. more
My parents were seniors who would travel around the world through pensions and concessions while I slogged to educate daughters from best private schools and universities We have a group of seniors and most of them are comfortable because of handsome pensions from government and these seniors are hopping from one place to another Seniors have planned their lives well and seem to be more comfortable than yuva who's struggling to earn, to look after 3 generation, own seniors who are growing older but refuse to accept ageing process and own juniors who are growing up Everything is not filmy like Baghbaan.. more
