Serious rules to control “Pollution”

Our country is struggling with serious disease called “Pollution”. Few authorities who need to work on its solution immediately.
Related to Traffic: For Air pollution cause with traffic (pollution cause by vehicle), horn noise at traffic area, unwanted honking, pressure horn, not qualified pollution vehicle.
Related to Municipal: For loud speaker at any religious place, loud speaker in any road show, any festival and any personal or public celebration, political party road show.
Related to Law & Order Authority: Strict rules and action on failure of any rules. Cracker should be completely ban, its harming all being either human, animal or plants. Cracker is not only associated with Diwali it is associated with celebration. Cracker and vehicle both are causing Air pollution badly. Control on vehicle is very important. more

As long as appeasement of voters by all the political parties continues, nothing constructive will be done in this direction. more
This can only be controlled if all political and religious leaders support it and make sure to control thru their sermons. more
Govt action will only be possible if all political parties agree and accept pollution as a serious problem and act together for reducing air pollution. Since the chances are remote as these parties are more interested in blame game, the solution will be a distance goal. more
Sound and air pollution both are very very harmfull for both human and socity. I think air pollution is more harmfull than sound pollution. Because in a perticular case effect on sound pollution is one time but air pollution effect being continue in long time. Diwali Cracker effect is one time in a year but those pollution which are produced every day/every time, any authority take any long term action on that issue you never seen. We are very much intrested to show ourself as a good worker but we never work good continuously for nature. more
any type of pollution is harmful, it only depends how long one person is exposed to it. We can see that due to noise pollution , peoples tolerance limit has gone down , just even for small matters people are killed, stabbed on the roads, just because of traffic nuisance. It is a subject for psychiatrist to study. Why people became so much violent .Even the increase in heat in the environment due to global warming also has reduced people's tolerance. Air pollution is no doubt a large contributor but the above mentioned issues cannot be neglected or given less importance.

I have seen in Kolkata every alternate days some people go on addressing some groups so loudly on the main road can't follow what they have to agitate for?

In UK there are strict regulations to curb noise pollution. No one can dare to disobey . even during the NAVARATRI OR MARRIAGE FUNCTIONS ONE CANNOT USE LOUD SPEAKERS ON ROADS THEY HAVE TO CELEBRATE IT IN A CLOSED HALLS, ONE CANNOT KNOW FROM OUT SIDE THAT SOME FUNCTION IS GOING ON.
Even at night you cannot talk so loudly seating in your home if your neighbor complains that he is getting disturbed, police will come just within five mins and will warn. or may take action . This is what we have to learn and import from these nations not the chocolates or pizza or cars and motorbikes producing lot of noise ( Royal Eenfield bikes).

but who cares. more
Nothing is going to work unless religious leaders of all colours and hues and all political parties come onboard and speak against fire crackers with a united voice. The traffic police has to pull its socks up. Traffic jams build up because of non functional traffic lights or badly times cycles. Driving in wrong lane is rampant and traffic constables on duty ignore it. Markets are allowed to come up in wrong places causing huge traffic jams and everyone is mute spectator. No one seems to know the saying 'Nip the evil in the bud'. But the public believe 'He who dares, wins'. We, too, look the other way when we see a wrong being committed. A group of ten can stop confront the miscreants and make them see reason. more
