Wages should be linked to productivity.Look at the present conditions of trains and platforms all over the country and see how dirty they are. Can't you link it to customers satisfaction index on each train journey and then pay accordingly.Pay only slab wise ie 3 stars 50 % of the stated amount,4 stars - 75 % and 5 stars -90 %.If 5 stars rating achieved continuously for 6 months then only pay the balance 10% of 6 months as bonus incentive otherwise dont pay. more
Good points are listed and the same may be taken into consideration more
Luggage weighing machines should be available on platforms. Coolie/porter charges should be displayed alongside. If the porters do not follow it, he should be punished. After alighting from the train porter should take the luggage to the auto/taxi stand outside the station. He should not demand any extra money for that. He should not befool the passengers in this context, who are unaware of it. more
Adequate fans must be provided in the platforms ( e.g. no such provision even now at Kumbakonam station. The expected traffic would be in thousands now due to Mahamaham) more
