Shop keeper refuses to give GST

Even today many shops refuse to give GST invoices. Where to complain against such shops ? more

Most of the Cash-dealing organiations, small & medium, have gone back to cash handling. They neither accept cheques or credit/debit cards, but insist only on cash. How can one expect a GST cash memo from such shops? The concerned government employees shall now be happy. They can continue making money by looking the other way, when cash deals take place. more

Dear Narender, Businesses with upto 20 lakhs of turnover are exempted from GST. So if the shop owner you are talking about falls under that category, he is not doing anything wrong. Else you can complain to the consumer forum or the tax authorities. You can Lodge a complaint in your nearest Central excise commissionerate, now GST commissionerate, or nearest state VAT office, which is also GST office now. more
