Simplifying transfer/documentation processes for Covid deceased

It is very painful to see the relatives of Covid victims struggling to get death certificates & access bank account, lockers, insurance claims etc.

Grieving families must not be burdened with bureaucratic delay & insensitivities. We should make documentation processes hassle-free.

Can all members of the circle discuss this and perhaps come up with best ideas to simplify how any family member of a Covid deceased individual has a fast track transparent and time bound process through which they can get some of the basics and banks, Govt offices, insurance companies all cooperate and if not face penal action. more

Yes, issuance of Death Certificate in such cases should be eased and hassle free. As far as bank accounts and immovable properties are concerned, I doubt whether the legal aspects in such cases can be given away or any concessions can be granted unless the concerned account holder/owner of the properties had executed the required mandates to that effect. more
The most pathetic side of COVID death is disposing / cremation of the body without the knowledge of the near and dears. more
Basically Indians are corrupt people. They try to take bribe at every stage, with the result entire process gets delayed. If you read the news, during Covid 19 practically daily you will read bribe cases. more
Not Every Indian, Mostly government servants, because of corrupt politicians. more
It is very unfortunate when the doctor closes the case with a discharge summary, which is a must to clear the bills of the hospital, he cannot release a death certificate in the same date. Hospitals should be equipped to do this certificate along with the discharge certificate. The corporation can release the death certificate based on the above documents along with the identity proof. more
The issue with our system especially wherever govt agencies are involved it is time consuming and hardly any dept in govt works since no one is accountable so what happens for any documentation work it takes months of running to and fro and one get fed up and ultimately there will be some broker who for a nominal amount gets the things done. This nominal amount goes to various people at all levels more
