Spineless media of India

Our print media has become totally spineless. Despite all the 3 telcos increasing mobile tariffs one by one within 2-3 days, none of our business or general papers were able to show some guts and questions the likes of jio, airtel, VI. The competition regulator fails to see cartel here of course but atleast media could have questioned.

And while these folks want more tarriff from consumer, calls keep dropping, network many times is shit quality and many of us migrate to calling on whatsapp/facetime etc etc. also the amount of spam we get has gone up.

The consumer of India has been taken for a ride. In return gift for our increased tarriff payment, we can see pictures from a wedding.
Well, enjoy. more

Most of the news is paid , how will the journalists from top to bottom earn salaries in crores every month ? more
Spam calls are a genuine concern, but we are more and more entangled with the mobile no...OTPs, EVCs and now UPI.....should think of alternative in the future....or use only sms packs?? more
This increase in the tariff has come after a gap of around 3 years. Just imagine the cost of infrastructure being deployed, upgraded and maintained by the Telcos and above all, the cost of the manpower, spectrum and the Govt. License fee. We would never like a situation to come wherein the telecom service providers in our country bleed so much that they are forced to shut their operations. We have seen this happening with many telecom players, remember Hutch, Tata, Reliance Telecom, Shyam Telecom etc. to name a few. Let us appreciate the fact that the Mobile/Landline/Internet charges in our country are among the lowest in the world. Considering the importance of such facilities in our lives today, we should not really mind this small increase in the tariff. more
The print media in India are generally aligned with one political party or other. Hence, their quality of news items is very low. The Telcos in India are fighting against Free-calls provided by Internet based social media, such as Whatsapp. Call volumes are dropping daily. more
I feel the statement is UNFAIR. Communication system in India is the cheapest in the world. In fat bein so cheap it is bein misused by business people wo make calls to all and sundry whenever they want. more
Being cheap gives operators an alibi for poor service, is it? Costs are relative, not literal. I do not feel it justifies bad service. more
