Sports bodies restructure

Yesterday my sister received the attached article on whatsapp and it is that of a LocalCircles survey demanding that sports bodies in India are freed from hands of these netas.

This is a very relevant topic and I am thank ful that such a survey has been done. I just googled to find the full report

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/sports-federations-survey

The reason I am showing interest is because I have someone in the family who has faced harassment in sports to the point of leaving it.

That shouldn’t happen to your daughter or grand daughter and for that reason we must fight. We must fight to make sports in India women friendly so no girl is at risk of getting assaulted by some neta.

Let us stand up. more

Get the Politicians, the fixers and brokers OUT of all Sports Bodies. They do more harm than good. They are only interested in self-aggrandisement and financila benefit.Support for the Sport and Training of sportspersons gets the last priority. The management of various Sports Bodies should be taken over by Government. more
there is seriously a need of reform in in governance bodies, these bodies need to be managed professionally, National and local politicians have no business there. It was horrific how the athletes are struggling to get justice even of sensitive matter of sexual harassment from the political goons in khel bodies. It is really big shame on us. more
We need good sports adminstrators who run institutions progfessionally and not like a personal fiefdoms. There is no need to bar a polictician with the right mettle and orientation. This can be achioeved only if teh voting to such bodies is impartial and fair. Most office bearers in sports bodies are virtually selected rather than being elected. There have to be ground rules on appointing related parties. Unfortunately, the rot runs deep and politicans use sports bodies to fuel their personal agenda. more
Much needed. more
