state indebtedness on account of pandemic

the worsening financial condition of the states, are not only due to pandemic spending, which was absolutely essential, though one might say that it was a bit exaggerated, but on account of the following:
1.all kinds of freebies announced and extended during the elections.the supreme court has now woken up to the issue and issued notices to the ECI(which is now a slave of the centre) as well as the centre on this issue.
the tax payers must form an association in various states,to fight against this kind of freebies offered during election(as suggested by a contributor sometime back).
2.inadequate compensation by the centre relating to state share from gst;the centre conveniently increased the states' borrowing limits to make up for centre's inadequacy which has resulted in states'interest burden and borrowings.
mr raghuram rajan,ex-governor of RBI, insisted that for improvement of country's fiscal position, the states finances should also be disciplined.
only a nation-wide citizen's movement can throw light on the states' profligacy and control. more

Freebies offered by Political Parties must Stop Totally. This will be from Tax Payers Money and not from the Ill gotten money of Politicians. more
Freebies are not being declared or granted by the center. On the contrary, these freebies are being offerred by the parties in opposition prior to any election (State Asseblies or Parliament) with the evil design of luring the voters in their favour. Such practices are highly illegal and must be stopped forthwith. more
It is not central Govt. which is not giving adequate GST compensation but the States are not efficient in collecting revenue by allowing under billing, no billing and other illegal trades like unauthorized mining, illicit Liquor trade etc. more
States are backed by illfull Businessmen. Must be put to an end . more
Tax payers should protest against freebies being offered by any government/political party. more
Every citizen in the state of Jharkhand has now been issued a e-secure card and Rs.1000 to Rs.5000/- is given to each card member because of the elections!!!! more
