Stem Cell therapy no good

Many private hospitals for atleast a decade or more have been pushing stem cell therapy.

Many parents have been sold this at their child birth to save the cells for INR 40000 or so in case a sibling or parent needs them later.

ICMR has finally come out with a detailed document effectively calling out Stem cell therapy for the medical fraud that it is. It doesn’t work in any of the conditions in which it is commonly promoted. Attached.

See attached. Share this widely friends as many of the family and friends in your own network have been duped into buying such services and treatments. more

First please do not call the stem cell treatment a fraud because it is a life saving treatment and my 37year old son is alive due to this treatment given to him about five years ago. they harvested his own stem cells, saved and given him back with in a months time. That said the business that is being run could be fraud but the treatment is real. Your headline to this is sadly wrong. more
Useful information more
Thanks Vikram for the eye-opener. My daughter also kept her son's stem cells but now it is of no use. I feel said for Mr. Desai's friend who passed away in the hope that a cure could be found in stem therapy and for her young children. May they find blessings in God's Grace. more
Stem cell treatment is workable only for limited time frame i.e. upto 3 month baby later it is an instrument for earning money by creating a hope , like mediclaim business which is a alliance between hospital management & insurence company, data reveals mediclaim is an instrument for costlier treatment. more
Thanks ! I think Stem cells were originally thought to be elixir and cure for many diseases. So, we shouldn’t blame the hospital management. At that time it was a good future remedy. Unfortunately, all these years later it’s potential is gone down down... more
