See attached everyone. Why are we not pushing all political parties to add this in their manifesto. Make it an election issues.

Stray dogs are hurting both children and adults and it’s everywhere. Will we wait till one of our own gets attacked? more

Yes, it is very important that Governments should do something urgently to solve this problem, may be a separate stray dog park, even t the cost of an additional tax from the citizens. more
The stray dog menace is real. Humans have created a apartheid system amongst animals. While some dogs (and other animals) are kept as pets and pampered, the others that are termed as strays have no oversight and live in the most abysmal conditions. While there are many do-gooders feeding strays, that does not solve the real problems. Dogs that are strays are prone to illness, disease and ailments which can have far-reaching consequences for humans. Many efforts are needed to reduce the impact of strays: 1) Breeding - there has to be some degree of neutering to prevent the increase in stray population, 2) Re-location (not an option) - Dogs are very teriitory concious and catching them and putting them in a pound is not a solution. The effort must be to take care in the area where they are present and slowly reduce the population over time. During this period, small animal shelters must be created in the areas where strays are present. Periodic medical attention including considering actions like geo-tagging/monitoring will go a long way. 3) Man considers himself as superior and overlooks realities. Certain public discipline when it comes to dealing with animals must be imparted in schools and colleges. Animals generally stay out of the way but for situations that humans mostly bring about. Having said this, a sick or infected stray can do a lot of harm. here, prevention is better than cure. As summer approaches, stray dogs have the potential to go mad as they have no sweat glands and their body temperature can go out of control. We have to be careful and take preventive measures not to become a victim. While stray dogs seem to be only menace, in many places monkeys, snakes, wild cats (like leopards), foxes/wolves have also started transgressing more frequently into human habitats. Why is it happening is something all of us can introspect and understand. Its time we take far-reaching steps to reduce such transgression. more
Stray dog menace will continue, as long as pharma mafias control drug markets. Indian rule permits killing of any domestic animal, and not dog bites which is fatal more
Bigger danger are these animal lovers who create hurdles in keeping stray dogs even from gated communities. The dogs have attacked several people in our community and these morons create several hurdles and challenge naive residents assoc members. Add to the agony are unnecessary and unrealistic provisions/judgements from court, which does not consider anything which is happening on ground. more
Forget about blue cross any other cross. They have to be caught and be in a pound where sterilizations can be carried out. more
Every process has some failure. Controlling stray dogs is the need of the hour more
Sterilization often fails too.. more
