Summer Travel in Railways - Feedback

Summer Travel in Railways

1. Food on Gatimaan Express was okay
2. RPF staff has been found taking rounds in some trains, which is a good safety measure
3. Cleanliness on the platforms has been better than last summers
4. The new coaches added in trains are very comfortable
5. General services on the Gatimaan Express need improvement
6. The services of Gatimaan Express do not justify the high price
7. 16562 kochuveli - Yeswantpur Duronto exp – fungal growth noticed in the AC vents which could turn out to be a serious health hazard
8. The windows of many sleeper coaches do not close properly
9. The toilet water taps are found to be broken/leaking in many trains
10. TTEs were found to be selling vacant seats and allowing passengers without ticket to travel in reserved coaches
11. Whenever 2 or 3 seats are booked together in the Taj Express, they are never allotted together
12. In 2S coaches of Taj Express, the space in the waiting area near exit is insufficient thus taking longer for people to board. This results in stampede like situation at times
13. The cooling levels of many AC compartments are low
14. Many people do not even know about the summer special trains due to low publicity by railways. more

Each toilet should be given number from 1 to 4 so that in case of complaint passenger can inform concerned authority giving coach number and toilet number. Same is the case with lights and fans. It will make job of maintenance staff easy and save lot of time. more

Yes TTEs continue to treat Railway tickets as private properties and auction them as their fundamental right . Introduce hand held terminals and alllow real time booking/ reservation of vacant seat. do not allow TTE to allot seats. Let Railway site display number of vacant seats as per chart on real time basis. Railway should not dream of revenue every time. more

All above points are describing the status in AC and reserved coaches of all important and Superfast trains . This can not represent the real scenario. We need to check the status of General coaches too and specially in Summer . more
