Recently, I travelled by this train in a II tier AC coach. Senior citizens we were allotted two side seats. While our 4 Co travellers had 90% of the coupe space, we just got may be 10%. The seat were short of length and just enough to keep your body flat. No side table, less luggage and leg space , no light, fan, charger points. The most mortifying experience was to spend the night on the upper berth. With curtains draw to avoid light, I was confined to a space may be 5.5 ft x 2 ft sleeping place with AC inlet, almost body length blowing cold air on you. I have seen bodies kept in mobile mortuaries. I had the feeling as I turned and twisted the night away. I wish, the guys who designed the coach, travel once on the side seats/ berth. P Abraham more
In spite of the 2AC charges being close to Airfare (sometimes more if you take early) they shamelessly mention in your ticket that 43% of your subsidy is paid by taxpayers even if you get this type of 3rd rated side seat arrangement in 2AC. They wash-off their hands out of their extreme bureaucracy, inefficiency and corruption which in their opinion doesn't exist and accounts for 0% of subsidy. more
Side seats /berths are inadequate for a six foot passenger, the railways and its engineers should think of it, it is a due time after 175 years of experience of railways. Ajay parikh 05/11 /2019. more
Probably, it was your first life time experience of travelling on a side berth of Indian rails, otherwise you would have become accustomed with this pathetic condition long before. Sorry to state, this is the sorry state of affairs of all side berths in Indian rails irrespective of the category of the train and the class in which you travel. And further, as of now none of our trains is faster than an average running of 55 KM an hour and the nomenclature 'Super Fast" is added only to make the passengers fool by recovering extra fare in the name of 'Super Fast Charges'. more
