Telescopic fare

If I'm not wrong Telescopic fare concept has been stopped long back. It was never applicable on e-tickets however, was possible on paper ticket. As you rightly pointed out IR is making lot of money by scrapping this benefit. e.g. if you require to change train to cover even a small distance and want to book onward journey you need to book another ticket. It means all charges viz. reservation, SF, Service and so on you have to pay in addition to say fare charges of Rs. 20. more

True.Easy way to increase revenue more
Very very pertinent issues raised in this post. Well done. more
Though I have never experienced what is told by Mr. Rajinder Deshmukh, yet I feel that it is a great harassment for a person who wants to book a train ticket for a particular train through IRCTC website. If the Railways charge some extra money but all the facilities should be available for the passengers to book tickets for choice trains. The Railways need to rise and check their website as to why such a large blunder of theirs has not come to their notice. An apology from the Railways is very much expected for such an instance. more
the railways has also stopped provideng return tickets, making it troublesome if some one wants to return from a short journey he hase to go for purchasing a ticket from the counter, watage of time !!!! it may be got from Online but it is not for all because for that you should carry a smart phone with internet connections and that you should know its operation evenif you are a senior citizen. more
The telescopic advantage is very much in line with all.modern marketing strategies..more you travel.more you benefit.. Do it should be automatic and neef to be ensured.. more
