Tobacco and Swachh and Swasth Bharat
Dear all:
One of the key root causes identified Spitting in Swachh Bharat Circle is the consumption of Tobacco and Tobacco Based Products.
Tobacco is also one of the Root Causes of Oral Cancer - one of the leading contributor for deaths in India.
We would like to seek your suggestions on what can be done to effectively address tobacco consumption in India.
Some states have implemented a ban on tobacco. Is a countrywide ban the answer or are their better more effective solutions to minimize the use of tobacco in India. If a ban were to be imposed, how does one implement that ban effectively.

There should be a fine of Rs 100 levied for spitting or littering an area which should include throwing plastic, paper, sweet wrappers etc or urinating on the roads or public places. Even, thrash not being collected by muncipal corporations should be fined with a deduction in the salary of all those involved in that particular office branch that had to collect the thrash daily. This will in turn alter the mindset & behavior of all Indian citizens & bring positiveness towards keeping their surroundings clean. more
