Train fare hike

It is too heavy on the back of the public . Centre might have been misled by some forces is my opinion. Why not step by step increase? This sudden peak hike is sending shock waves across the country. Is it a gift or blow to the voters. The issue of Hindi is also unwanted message which would conceive wrong signals. more

Finance and commerce is not my strength but I don't understand every time when I am trying to book ticket from bloody IRCTC (pathetic website) it shows no ticket is available. If almost 100% tickets are booked , then how come Indian Railways are at LOSS for so many years? more
Train fare hike is just a burden on the back of common man nothing else. I think now modi sarkar is also following upa or we r wrong that we trusted more on modi. more
We r trying to get ticket of any train from Delhi to Bhubneshwar but not able to get for next 20 days all waiting, this is a regular problem, so need to focus on increase no. of trains or no.of bogies or there should be provision to add nos of bogies if waiting are >20 more
The hike in train fare can be justified on two grounds 1) to bring cashstrapped national transporter back on track and two the decision was actually taken by the UPA regime on Feb 10and left for the new Government to implement. Though as per Expert it is a bold step towards uncoupling fare and frieght revision from the annual budget. This is a positive development . A message that public services must adjust to market prices. It is a firm message from Govt that its looking at economics of buisness. The Government has made a correction for inflation that was not done for 3 years . It s been calibrated ,moderate. more
Govt can increase the yrain fare but should also provide better facilities in train and improve the condition of Indian railways. Then public will have confidence in the govt. more
