Bombay Pune : Deccan queen perfect . stations are in the heart of town where as airports like in Bangalore are miles away . Short journeys. Fear of flying ,traveling with kids ( room to run around / cry /shout their hearts out and not annoy fellow passengers!). more
I think this question appeared some time back . The crystal clear reasons are : * Cost of the rail ticket for the lower classes below A/C 2 Tier is far less . * Choice of the rail station is nearby and so the transport charge and the time is far less than travelling to airport. * There is no check in time as far as the rail journey is concerned . So no long Q's * At destination the rail passenger gets down from the train with his baggage and walks out . * Rail fares allow several concessions , particularly senior citizen , even more for female senior citizens . * Some one can escort the passenger till the departure. * More leg space at lower cost . * Good chances of interacting with fellow passengers. more
There many reasons train is note safer than plane secondly it is more enjoyable and have freedom and privacy in case of crash it is only 5% chances for servival but in the train it is 80%. more
Train journey is more enjoyable and comfortable. more
