travel plans and masks in flights

I looked up this report from LocalCircle website after seeing this report in the paper today.

This is shocking to say the least that so many people want to disregard Omicron and travel.
For all those who are travelling :
Please do not remove your mask at the airport or in the aircraft when it is stationary. The HEPA filters in the aircraft are switched on only when the flight is airborne.
Cabin crew should announce when it is safe to remove mask to eat/drink.

This should be shared far and wide so people hold their horses. more

Utter nonsense. Wear the mask only if you are comfortable, the more you are using it, less oxygen goes inside your body. You get sick and medics benefit. While eating tell corona or omicron to wait and it will obey politely. Very very understanding virus. more
Agree. I feel the filters should also be installed at the airport, where the peoples remove mask to eat and take immigration photo. more
Nothing to fear but fear. Fear mongering comes so easily to those seeking more power insofar as they validate themselves being the rulers, for taking decisions on our behalf, which is what happened during the directive given last year by government, invoking National Disaster Management Act provisions for imposing a lockdown. Fear may therefore bring forth despotic tendencies. Lockdown imposed early led to a situation that people needed come out coincided with the pandemics second wave earlier this year. India's medical infrastructure was overwhelmed seeking oxygen, while dealing with increased hospitalisations causing lakhs of fatalities. Yes, emergency use authorised vaccinations and science must move us forward and fortunately that too was government's initiated effort that steered us through the delta variant. Not fear, but action saves us. Lockdown given the economic cost associated therewith, should at all costs be avoided. more
Well, life has to go on. So long you strictly follow the COVID protocol, travel can be undertaken. more
Shweta Kothari, have you read the real reports from South Africa? I have that are send to me daily by the American Medical society and CDC. more
