Vaccination Perspective

So just to clarify that the total number of 50.6% vaccinated in India includes

20.9 % fully vaccinated + 29.7% single dose vaccinated. At risk population is still quite high.

100 Cr is the total number of vaccine doses administered, and NOT total number of people vaccinated.

This means the risk of bot complying to mask and social distancing rules is high. Our own circle survey says compliance is broken.

We can take a horse near the water, but we can not force the horse to drink. Similarly, many citizens, who are in the age group of 18 and above are not showing interest to take the vaccination, which is given free of cost. more
You are calling unvaccinated people as "at risk population", but on what basis? Vaccinated people can get the disease, can get hospitalized, and can succumb. A recent Harvard University study found NO correlation between cases and vaccination rates, in fact they found marginally higher disease incidence among the societies with higher vaccination rates. more
Dear Madam, Your percentages add up to 83.52 crores of vaccination doses administered as against 100 Crore recorded. I am afraid this is another attempt to spread false-hood. more
Above 18 population is only about 84 Cr - about 40% population is below 18 (2.3% new births/year x 18) of which about 30 Cr are fully vaccinated. About 15% are refusing to get vaccinated for various reasons including religious beliefs & they can not be forced. Once you take these into account, the task ahead is not so daunting - only about 42 Cr doses over next 70 days. more
Cowin app too was important, as otherwise we know how long manual booking, communication, and record keeping takes apart from being prone to errors. The graphic shows our position vis a vis other nations, which gives perspective. Also there were resources freed up from running in person schools or conducting board examinations too. more
