VIP culture locations

VIP culture is still a major issue in india. The latest move of no free pass for VIPs at tolls is a good move and instead they claim reimbursement makes sense.

But what is being done about VIP culture in temple darshans, tourism sites, parades, hospitals like AIIMS, sarkari offices, many such locations? Please list them all

Why is the Govt not taking action against this? more

Reducing VIP culture
Reducing VIP Culture in India - Following are my comments. 1. Except for the President, Prime Minister, Governors and Chief Ministers of states, armed forces service chiefs, no one should be granted VIP status - Correct and should be abided 2. The word VIP should be removed from tens of thousands entrances, doors, lounges and entry gates - Correct 3. Use of the red and blue beacons should be restricted - Yes 4. Roads should not be closed for more than 10 minutes for a VIP movement - Yes 5. The international travel plans of the VIPs should be scrutinized - Yes, should be approved by the next level authority 6. Family members of VIPs should not be allowed on official tours with them - Yes 7. The VIP quota in Railways should be trimmed and should be usable only in case of emergency - Yes 8. Aircraft and train departures must never be delayed due to VIPs - Yes 9. The idolising of bureaucrats and ministers should be stopped - Yes 10. Government should not try to satisfy the ego of the VIPs by giving them these privileges; it should be based on needs - Yes 11. Some privileges should be withdrawn for the VIP culture to diminish - Yes 12. The darshan procedure at religious places should be equal for everyone - Yes 13. VIPs should not be considered to be above the law – they should be tried like a common man - Yes, this is very important to implement 14. No free frills for VIP. They should foot the bill and claim from the respective department, which should have the budget - Yes 15. The number of people getting Z level security should be reduced.- Only President, Prime Minister, Governors and Chief Ministers of states, armed forces service chiefs and NOBODYELSE.

Oh, is it true that no toll exemptions to VIPs. That's great, if true! Reimbursement only to Ministers can be acceptable. As far as VIP culture at other places is concerned, if it has to be, it be limited only to Ministers and none else. more
Abolish all VIP privilege and their Pension . If they are elected thrice they get three pension when I get only one . NO pension or benefit once they loose election . every one knows that once elected they become multi billionaire more
Total abolishment of VIP privilages is need of gthe day. more
Why reimbursement? If we want to get rid off VIP culture, even reimbursement should not be allowed. Offcourse, this should not be there in other places as well. more
