VIP culture

A friend was not allowed to overtake the VIP’s convoy for 45 kms on the Nawanshahar - Ropar road in Punjab yesterday. There was a long line of vehicles behind him as a result.

Why are all CMs not taking action against VIP culture. In many smaller states, even in top hotels service to guests come to stand still if a VIP visits.

LocalCircles should do a survey on this and bring out offenders in public. I am sure many of them will be the habitual ones. Only then anything will change.

I urge everyone to write on this issue. more

Since they are in Power, they make all the Rules which suits them. Also Satisfy their EGOs. They are like Maharajas of Good Old Days. See their Perks and Remunerations, it is decided by them only. They are least bothered about Common Men. They will bother about their vote bank. Another is they have been Lootaoing Tax Payer's Money to which they do not have Moral Rights. This is just to gain power or keep them in power. more
For all you know, the VIP may be the 4th concubine of a junior minister more
This culture in a democratic country like ours is really unfortunate. Only a few days back one of our members reported death of a patient in the ambulance on the way to a hospital as the ambulance was detained on the way to pass a presidential convoy. Such incidents are not less than barbaric. We look forward and urge to the present government in the centre to completely eradicate the menace named VIP culture by enacting a law, if required. more
Why VIP's...?? They are servants of the public. Why we give them so priorities in their personal life matters. Officially only ,they should be treated important servants. Rest time normal life should be lived. more
Jee Huzoor culture was prevailing, is prevailing with some modification ie without red/blue beacon lights, and will continue. The politicians are least bothered about the environment. their first preference is their own comforts at the cost of the masses. The politician even at the lower levels ie corporators is having exclusive roads and parking, water supply, and whatnot. What is required is public participation in all policy matters and in their implementation, if we actually want to get rid of JEE HUZOORI. more
