VIRUS AND ANIMAL MEAT :

Coronaviruses originate in animals — like camels, civets and bats — and are usually not transmissible to humans. There have been other ones originating from other animals and birds also .
Most, but not all, of the first known cases in December 2019 were traced to an animal market in the Chinese city of Wuhan and are believed to have come from contact with LIVE ANIMALS that were infected. The market has since been closed.
All that the health authorities advice about eating animal or bird meats is to heat well and not to eat raw or undercooked. SARS & MERS Viruses were spread through bats .Bats are protected Animal , so no one will dare to eat . But we were all warned not to eat fruits bitten by Bats . Bats thrive on many fruits including many that we have in our delicacy list .

SO EATING WELL COOKED MEAT IS NOT THE CAUSE IN SPREAD OF VIRUS ; ON THE CONTRARY CONSUMING UNCOOKED VEGETARIAN EXPOSED TO SUCH INFECTIONS MAY .

In India we have been living close to the farmer ; so they are considered part of the celebration during Festivals like Pongal, Sankranti . The animals , particularly Bulls and Cows are taken care of specially .

Today we think the Animals have been taken away from Cities to avoid problems in the traffic . It is not so . We have seen several pictures in the media of Cows at the garbage Bins searching for Food .

THESE COWS GO BACK TO THE GREEDY IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERS TO BE MILKED . THE MILK FINDS ITS WAY TO DOMESTIC USE. THAT COULD CAUSE IF NOT HEATED ENOUGH .

SO TERE IS HARDLY ANY CHANCE FOR THE SPREAD OF VIRUS FROM WELL COOKED MEAT PRODUCTS. THEY FOUND THESE VIRIONS REMAINED ACTIVE FOR BETWEEN 5 AND 28 DAYS AT 4°C AT ALL HUMIDITY LEVELS. HOWEVER, THEIR DEACTIVATION RATE WAS FAR MORE RAPID AT 20°C.
THOUGH THERE MAY BE A CHANCE OF SPREAD OF THE VIRUS FROM EATING RAW VEGETABLES AND FRUITS INFECTED BY THE ANIMALS / BIRDS. more

What is Mutten Tello ? As far as mutton fat and chicken fat that are discarded at the Shop has a market . People buy at throw away proces as they are throw away for the shopwala . May be it finds its way into the street stalls who offer food cery cheap . more
Friend , early days this Morton tello was largely used in soap manufacturing n also in textile industries as well as in manufacturing fatty acids like stearic acid largely
The other illegal use is adding in margarine, butter, ghee n other dairy products, ....Once upon a time ship load of mutton tello was imported from Australia in tons of load. more
Daniel, very valid point. Even one more important issue is about the mutton tello or animal fat where that goes. Tons of mutton tello is coming out of all slaughter houses n there is bann on use of mutton tello, where how that is disposed ,under what conditions? more
Mr. DK Sarkar ,What about commerce of other animal products - like skin, bone, horns, etc? I shall be thankful if someone illustrates this aspect also. As there was an etc. I am venturing to answer . In addition to the body parts that you mentioned there are other also , Head , legs , Intestines , Stomach , the liver, pancreas, kidney, the testicles Blood and the list will grow . Just imagine what happens when an old or an accident involved automobile is auctioned : It is dismantled to the last nut and bolt . Each part has a customer and its own value . It is exactly that when animal is slaughtered or hit n the road. What you call Gujli Market . In Chennai , Haris Rd., Chinthadripet is the one . Recycling of remains of plant and animal kingdom is taugt to us in school . Insects and worms convert the flesh and the remains of living beings into useful manure . But before that humans also assist in the process ; in the bargain it becomes food / fodder for those . This I would say is environmental friendly . Aren’t we planning to recycle Plastic products also like reuse, use in Road making ? more
