WASTE MANAGEMENT EXPERTS FROM JAPAN - A VERY GOOD INITIATIVE :

All that India need to do is to have a strong will to "CLEAN INDIA" . Then pin the responsibilities to the following :

PUBLIC :
* Segregation of Garbage at the source into - bio degradable,
- non degradable - and Plastic.
The source starts from Households , Restaurants & Eateries , Factories .

AGRICULTURAL DEPARTMENT :
* To compost the biodegradable .

GOVERNMENT :
*Recycle, destroy or whatever to see that it doesn't go back to the atmosphere and water bodies.
& Impose hefty fines / penalties for the offenders .

Share the Goal with the above 3 and co ordinate .

GOOD THE GOVERNMENT IS CALLING EXPERTS OVER HERE
INSTEAD OF THE POPULAR PRACTICE OF SENDING A DELEGATION OF PARLIAMENTARIANS AND OFFICIALS OVER TO OTHER COUNTRIES AND WASTING TAX PAYERS' MONEY . more

Our state Municipality is in a bad shape. They are riddle with corruption, inefficiency and lack of competent manpower. Nations cleanliness level depends on the efficiency of Municipality. Their pay is pathetically low therefore the corruption is high. Lack of organised training is also a contributing factor. more
How about getting ISRO to shoot waste that cannot be quickly degraded into outer space or into the Sun to be incinreated? more
