Increased urbanisation, plastic to blame more
Yes Correct , these are the nexus of all 3 . But when the black listed contractors & Official who are suspended when taken on duty by political parties then who are responsible ? more
Heavy rains will cause any place to get flooded, even in the best drainage situations. We cannot plan and build drainage system for the maximum situation. Planners will take average rainfall, add certain percentage for future expansion, and design & build drainage system. There may be other assumptions taken into consideration during Design & Build. Street flooding usually happen when street debris collect and block water entrance into the drainage. This should be battled both from the municipalities with periodic street-cleaning. The people also must contribute to clean streets by NOT throwing trash on the streets. City planners, when approving new permits for development, must take into consideration the Drainage capacity, just as they do Electricity, Traffic, etc. So, this problem can be solved, or at least minimized, by collective effort by citizens and their municipalities. Best wishes. more
Sir, what you say is true but there are many things which are ignored, and that aggravate the situation. You know the municipality wake up to clean drainage systems and nullahs which drain rain water out of the city. I agree that people in our country are illiterate when the question comes of hygiene and cleanliness outside of their homes, of cities. people from slums to who live in big towers contribute in this. If municipality cleans all the draining systems at least once in 3 months they will not be burdened before monsoon. I am sure the work of cleaning all the draining systems before monsoon, which has collected dirt for the whole year is not possible in 45-60 days The work may be INCOMPLETE when monsoon arrives. and that helps in flooding. google says only 35% nullah cleaning work is done this year (20/05/2022) when nobody is serious what is going to happen? People including me are waiting that someone will come from the SPACE and raise the voice in this matter and make the things RIGHT so that we don't have to do anything. more
Not to blame politicians. The peoples who enjoy the holiday during electoral day is responsible for these. AND the peoples are acting as a Live dead bodies, who knows only eat , sit & sleep . No any activities except writing on social media. more
Sir, People avoid voting because they are sure that whether you vote or not the things will not going to change and this is their experience for the years together. Politicians are not single they are member of some party and they have to follow the party policies. and all the political parties have same policies only PRESANTATIONS of their BOLBACHCHANS is different. Because its a system of operation and you cannot change system and by the way what you are doing is the same what you have written, No activities except writing on social media. But wait someone will come from SPACE and solve our problems. I am also waiting. more
