WHEN MINISTERS ATTEND A PRIVATE FUNCTION..

Dear Friends,

We're seeing that Ministers, MLA's and MP's attend too many private functions like wedding, funeral, inaugurations or even menial events. And entire cost including security is to be borne by the Govt. from the tax payers money!

And we can see that influential people want them as a show off for their private function. Let me suggest something here..

IF ANY ONE WANTS THE PRESENCE OF MINISTERS, MLA's, MP's, IAS, IPS or SIMILAR TOP OFFICIALS or JUDGES. THE ENTIRE COST FOR THEM TO ATTEND, INCLUDING THE SECURITY CHARGES NEED TO BE CHARGED FROM THEM BY THE DEPARTMENT CONCERNED..

This way they'll have more time at their disposal which will spend for the good of the general public..Please give it a thought.. more

This is a very common affair. In my opinion these are exclusively private affairs between the parties. No outsider including Governments should spend a single paisa for such functions nor there should be any publicity at people's cost. Still if private persons desire such things the entire cost should be bourne by them as suggested. more
Big Bosses have galaxies of reasons to exercise their 'discretions' and 'prerogatives', and, hence, there would be galaxies of 'loops' and 'galaxies of 'holes' and hence no dearth of loop-holes to exhibit their pomp and pride. more
I have retired from Govt. Of India Service from quite a Senior Position (eqiv. of Jt. Secretary), and hence, can write with zest and verb, that there are no dearth of well documented laws/rules/procedures etc. But ......
We become conversant how to evade laws. We can use official vehicles for personal marketing in the disguise and/or behind the screen of official duty of self or some other officer! Want proof! not cans of worms but wagon loads (may be ship loads) of worms would get unleashed.
Sometimes back, I had written that if a method of detection/estimation of corruption in blood is evolved. a few Indians would be left not testing positive. Percentile wold be obviously much much higher amongst Government officials.
My one line experience is not only I was swimming against the flow, but in a river infested with crocodiles; coming to the land was also not possible because the same was full of awaiting tigers. So many times,I became an isolated identity - none in my side but GOD and only GOD. more
Once the law is in place, the Social Media would take of the rest, right Sir? more
Well said... we need to start questioning, naming and shaming the private function organisors and the politician... more
A system is already in excistence but not followed in letter and spirit. For example if one calls a Police band to play in a marriage function, he has to pay for that. But if some one is resourceful he may get the services of Police Band without cost. more
Yes, agree with this thought, The Host must bear all the cost of Invitee. One more suggestion that even PM's and others road show must be paid by Party not from Govt treasury. Any there should be guideline of this type of expenses, because this type of attendance and road show becomes hurdle for general public and general public suffers by traffic problem and waste of time, waste of money, waste of energy/productivity. It's a men hour killing. And ultimately it lead country backward. more
Creating public nuisance is another matter altogether on which I've a definite view..! more
