Where to catch COVID and how

A surefire way to catch COVID is to do a combination of things that get you into the dark red cells (attached image in the table). For example:

Gather together with lots of people in an enclosed space with poor air quality, such as an under-ventilated gym, nightclub or school classroom

Do something strenuous or rowdy such as exercising, singing or shouting

Leave off your masks

Stay there for a long time.

To avoid catching COVID, try keeping in the green or amber spaces in the table. For example:

If you must meet other people, do so outdoors or in a space that’s well-ventilated or meet in a space where the ventilation is good and air quality is known

Keep the number of people to a minimum

Spend the minimum possible amount of time together

Don’t shout, sing or do heavy exercise

Wear high-quality, well-fitting masks from the time you enter the building to the time you leave.

While the chart gives an estimated figure for each situation, the actual risk will depend on the specific parameters, such as exactly how many people are in a room of what size.

Continued posts on covid by some members do only help in spreading fear among people rather than helping in keeping the virus at bay. People are now tired of such kind of posts and rumours being spread through different kind of media. Better we stop discuusing covid any more and divert our attention towards other burning issues of the day. more
Chandigarh: the city I loved. 11.5 lakh population. 82563 Covid cases, 1095 deaths. The author may look around her own city and not spread fear. The post was viewed by 1174, that is more than the number of deaths. Keep posting "copy and paste" game. more
Looks like madam Kaur's personal experience. Even if a person does not go out and stays at home he can get infected more
This table is OK for educated chap having common sense, problem is we don't have this so called common sense & knowledge is just a pass time.Politicians, Bureaucrats & medical fertility are all involved. more
The guidelines given in the table are very good. This is is the message that has to go to People who attract Crowds, in theatres, Prayer Houses, gyms, Crowded Eateries, Dance Halls, Educational Institutions. * They should be first aware of the QUALITY and QUANTITY of VENTILATION in the Venue. – A/C or non A/C, the inlet for fresh air and outlet for the room air. * Then the number of people who will be present. * The nature of Activity – singing, Dancing, aerobics will involve in good amount of air exchanges from and into the respiratory tract. This is an important factor in influencing the severity and the load of Virulency. * Then the duration of the entire program – whether it is a moving crowd like an Eatery, or fixed time meeting/ conference. THEY MUUST APPLY THEIR MIND TO ARRANGE ANY PROGRAM ACCORDINGLY TO SEE THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS/ VISTORS ARE NOT VICTIMED WITH VIRUS INFECTION. THIS SHOULD BE CHECKED BY SOME COMPETENT AUTHORITIES AND CORRECT THE ONES WHO FAIL TO FOLLOW. If they one day imagine how many will be infected and how many they will infect. more
