Why is Aviation Ministry clueless

Spicejet which is in bad state and whose some employees are doubling As delivery boys because the airline is failing to pay salaries has gotten some fake PR done in newspaper today as attached that Govt is saying its great.

Is ministry of aviation in the business of giving certificate of excellence to airlines?
SpiceJet's customer experience performance of July :

- Less than 3 out of 10 ✈️ on time

- 3% cancellation vs avg 1.9% of industry

- Highest number of passenger complaints among mainstream airlines

Are the aviation minister and secretary in the know. LC Manager should escalate they are misleading consumers. more

This is not a government job it is private sector and they have problem with HR like many in India. If that is the case these airlines will go out of business. But they have to fix this problem and not a government office. more
In the last 12months, of the eight flights my family and I've taken with SpiceJet, only 1 was in time. And it is pretty similar with Indigo 2/11). The statistics that these airline companies share does not include changing routes (GAU to MAA to TRV was changed to GAU to DEL to BLR to TRV, which increased the travel time by 8hrs!) or re-scheduled flights. The flight rates are also very high. Just because our railways are in such bad condition is the reason why airlines are surviving in the country. more
Its a fact that in recent days SpiceJet airlines has badly failed to keep their previous reputation intact. It has failed to maintain punctuality and passenger satisfaction. Most of their flights are running late most of the days and passengers are being exploited at the airport check in. At Darbhanga air port particularly their ground staff behave very rudely and some of them exploit the passengers to pay extra on the pretext of over weight hand baggage. The management of this airline must monitor the behaviour of their ground staff and functioning of the staff particularly at the check in counters and boarding gates. Their over-charging the innocent and gullible passengers must stop if they want to care for passenger satisfaction and regain their earlier reputation of being one of the popular low cost ( economy ) airline. more
looks like govt is hand in gloves with inefficiency .People who have travelled by spicejet will vouch for it.If govt had done a survey before issuing such statements it becomes a laughing stock and one wonders whether govt is sleeping on the actual realities of the airlines issues .Such statements only justifies that govt does not know what are the ground realities .When such is the case do you think anyone who have travelled by spicejet will believe that and can definitely say that something is wrong more
The DGCA has taken this airline to task to improve overall performance. As for as salaries and continuity in service are concerned, it's all linked to performance. It's not govt job where all employees get paid on 1st of every month out of tax payers money irrespective of their performance or even without going to place of work. more
Yes, it is not the job of government to keep track whether salary is paid or not. Mr. Harish has highlighted this point to tell if airline is in that bad shape where employees are not getting paid, their moral will be low. Also there are widespread complaint by the passengers, then how this has got the certificate for outstanding customer service. more
