Why should we lay down our lives for such corrupt civilians?
Local Police routinely demands Rs.500 as Bribe for giving a 'positive' Verification Report -- written Complaints to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, Regional Passport Officer (Lucknow), Joint Secretary (Ministry of External Affairs, Patiala House, New Delhi) and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya Nath etc bore no fruit, even though the Mobile Number (from which the Calls for Money were received from Police Station Gomti Nagar) was also provided to all these 'public' servants in the hope that Modiji meant to implement his rhetoric "Naa Khaunga, naa khane dunga". Yet, a negative Verification Report was communicated to RPO by local police Sub-Inspector (although the Secret-Report of LIU was positive) -- but what was 'negative' in the 'report' of local police has not yet been intimated to me by the RPO even after more than an year and a half. I am a Direct Permanent Commissioned Officer (Commissioned for Life) and a 1971-War Veteran -- my colleagues in the Armed Forces are now wondering "Why should we lay down our lives for such corrupt civilians?" more
It is a fact, Government watch dog cells are monitoring activities of its citizen and have compilation of data of people who write against the Government in the Centre. If a citizen seeks some or other services which are in Government's domain, they run a check and once they find the person has complained or written about/against the Government, they either refuse, don't admit or use any tactic to harass the person. Courts, Police...all Government Department are under remote control though they make big statement questioning the Government on occasion just for posterity sake. more
On the contrary a special out of turn attention for all exservice men must be the norm. This will reiterate the respect of the nation and government towards serving armed forces and e servicemen. more
I do not agree with you. My passport was with Police station and they were not releasing it. I lodged complaint with PMO website and it was released after that. I got very positive response in this case. more
I have not yet paid a single penny, nor have I surrendered my Passport. Modi ji had sent my email to Yogi ji (CM) -- who, in turn, directed the DGP to inquire into the matter; the concerned Havildar was quote scared. RPO has not replied to my written Query: "On which subject-matter was the the 'negative' report and what was it?". A Sub-Inspector (S-I) of another P.S. told me that there are a number of 'Yes/No' Questions in the Police Verification Report, and IF no Bribe is paid then any one of these Questions may be ticked as 'No' by the Havildar who puts up the Report for S-I's signatures. For example, "Whether a Citizen of India?": "No." (Even for a War-Veteran!) Anyway, RPO has not taken any further action after receiving my detailed & factual written reply, and the PS to concerned Joint Secretary in External Affairs Ministry (New Delhi) had also spoken to RPO in my presence. Subsequently, the said Ministry has changed its Rules about Police Verification. more
