Why we are not able to control the climate change phenomenon?
Greetings, I want to share some of my concerns with respect to past floods and droughts prevailing in India which already affect our economy up to a big level. The impacts of the climate change are heavily experienced by Indian Socio-economic fronts by influencing the WPI and GDP. Now the uneven monsoons, sudden cloud bursting, floods, landslides, and droughts are common. Due to the increased demand for energy leads to utilize substandard- coal and increases the emissions in Thermal plants. The cement, steel plants also escalates this phenomenon. This emission is widespread on the Indian atmosphere. It has negatively influenced the monsoon rain fall patterns and influences the WPI and GDP. The INDOEX study cautioned about these carbon particulates, more over the size of the particulate matter have a negative or positive impact on CCN by disturbing the size of the droplets. This indirectly influenced the movement of clouds along with wind currents and condenses them at new destinations from its original geographical area, thus excess saturated clouds with accumulated water droplets suddenly condense or burst as an unexpected event over the Western Ghats or at Himalayan region, this is due to the absence of particulates in those regions. The monsoon winds direction during these periods aggravate this phenomenon; the soils in these geographical areas are vulnerable to landslides. A lot of information can be obtained from the satellites on ACPI, AVHRR enabled to find the probability rate, volume of the condensations with respect to droplet size within a referred geographical area. In this proposed research work a new algorithm is to be adopted with respect to Indian subcontinent, the simulation studies are to be made to differentiate aerosols and clouds with respect to space borne Lidar data and images, using image processing with the help of computer graphics software to understand about the vertical distribution of aerosols and clouds in the region proven to cloud bursting events and to design a new model that could be incorporated to give warnings on particulate pollutants, clouds condensation. As on date, we are not having any sort of early warning systems with respect to monsoon rain fall precipitations and variables altering the predicted precipitations. A new joint research effort is needed with NASA (USA) and India in studying climate and mitigating the disasters will enable our Indian agriculturist for his sustainable development. More debate is needed in this area. Jai Hind. more
I feel, like I said earlier, people of eminence should form a front and give suggestion directly to the present PM who seems to be responsive to good and forward looking suggestions which would help the country. You should take the lead and work in that direction. more
Can any body think about a course for MLAs,MPs,Ministers to undergo with respect to the prevailing status and how to control and improve in their own area constituencies with proper induction programmes. If so, we will definitely reap the benefits in all fronts to make our country a developed super power within the frame work of time. more
Thanks Prof. Shabudeen. A FORUM OF PROFESSORS OF YOUR STATURE AND OTHER EMINENT ENVIRONMENAL SPECIALISTS should be formed and put a unified and CONTINUOUS AND UNRELENTING pressure on all the state governments and the Central government to make very strict laws and ensure implementation of the same for improving and maintaining of the ecological balance of eco-sensitive zones and most urgently also on all river fronts and other water bodies. A burning issue is the huge and increasing quantity of non-bio-degradable waste generated by increased numbers of holiday makers and tourists and those living alongside of rivers and water bodies and on the eco-sensitive zones which are one of the main causes for disturbing the ecological balance of these areas. What methods are to be suggested to limit this waste is to be thought of by intellectuals and economists and other people in the know on these issues. more
